Zap the Gap-Central District

High-speed internet service has become an important factor in the safety and quality of life. For some, it is the only source they use as more and more people are shifting from landlines to cell phones in an effort to save money. Unfortunately, there are areas in the state of Mississippi that still lack good high-speed internet coverage. By getting the public involved through Zap the Gap consumer surveys, the Mississippi Public Service Commission wants to change that.

We also need to hear from you regarding natural gas access in your area. The information you share will assist us in our goal of expanding natural gas service in Mississippi.

The data you provide through Zap the Gap is reported to the Federal Communications Commission and your local utility providers in order to more accurately pinpoint areas of the state with insufficient high-speed internet and natural gas coverage. Your information will not be shared with or sold to other entities.

If you do not wish to complete this form online, click on the link above to download a paper form to return to our office.

The purpose of these surveys is to determine those areas of Mississippi which do not have high-speed internet access and/or natural gas service. If you have already these services, please do not complete this form. Please only complete one survey per household or business. Completing this form does not guarantee utility service additions will occur.
